DFDS is strengthening its freight network in Eastern Norway by adding the Port of Drammen as a new port of call on its combined RoRo/LoLo service between Norway, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The weekly service gives cargo owners in the Oslo region a new shortsea connection alternative to key European markets.
On August 17th, DFDS strengthened its freight and logistics offerings in Norway by adding the Port of Drammen to its weekly rotation on its Norway-Belgium-UK freight service. The centrally located port has direct rail links to Bergen and Trondheim and strong road connections to the hinterland in eastern Norway.

The new port call gives cargo owners, freight forwarders and logistics providers in Eastern Norway another shortsea alternative for moving freight directly by sea to the UK and Continental Europe.

Connecting Drammen with the UK and Continental Europe
The new port rotation connects Drammen directly with the Port of Immingham in the United Kingdom and the Port of Zeebrugge in Belgium.
Zeebrugge is an important logistics gateway for Continental Europe, while Immingham provides access to one of the UK’s major freight and industrial regions.
Through DFDS’ wider network, customers can combine sea connections with road, rail, terminal and logistics services across Europe.
With this new weekly service, businesses in our region will gain access to an efficient and flexible shortsea solution, connecting them to key European markets and DFDS’ extensive freight shipping network. This is a very welcome addition to the port’s route offering.

DFDS maintains its established operations in Fredrikstad, 90 km south of Oslo. In addition, DFDS operates a terminal in Brevik, providing connections to the wider DFDS network via Ghent in Belgium, Immingham in the UK and Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Norway–Belgium–UK route is part of a DFDS network comprising 33 ferry routes, eight port terminals, six rail lines and 90 logistics locations.
