The door-to-door transit time between Western Norway and Spain is 6–8 days. The service offers the market a seamless transportation chain, operating at a weekly frequency and providing competitive transit times.

    Robust and sustainable

The new connection is ideal for customers in the fisheries, industrial production, and other high-value export and import sectors. Sea-Cargo sees particularly great potential for the food and engineering industries, which depend on both predictable and gentle transport, often in combination with temperature control and traceability. Here, the sea offers significant advantages, especially when sustainability and delivery security are top priorities.

    – We see a growing need to build robust and sustainable value chains. This new route is an essential contribution in that direction, says Skjoldal.

Compared to road and air transport, the sea has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint. Additionally, the sea helps to alleviate European infrastructure while providing high reliability and reduced vulnerability to delays.

Sea transport is a good tool for more sustainable logistics. Sea-Cargo’s rotor sail solution contributes to a reduced CO2 footprint compared to pure road-based transport chains. Sustainability, combined with a focus on punctuality and regularity, makes this a stable and robust solution in an era where logistics challenges are constantly evolving.
